An FA Three Lions Club

Garway Juniors Football Club is a rural club providing football activities for boys and girls in Garway and the surrounding area.
Formed in 1999 as part of a Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, the club caters for up to 50 children from the age of 5 to 11 years every weekend, providing Mini-Soccer training sessions, friendly and competitive matches from our base at Garway Common.
The number of children attending the sessions has continued to grow and the club now has members from many surrounding primary schools including Garway, St Weonards, Llangattock, Llangrove, Ashfields, Cross Ash, Much Birch and Waldorf.

The club was awarded a Football Foundation grant in 2007 to enable the club the expand its activities and improve the quality of coaching. For the 2007/8 season the club is sponsored by The Garway Moon Restaurant. Many of our teams are also sponsored by local and national businesses including The Wye Valley Group, Thomson & Peter Nash Cars. The club is well funded and plans many football related activities throughout the season.

Driven forward by a very keen and dedicated volunteer workforce of parents, the club has joined forces with the F.A. to develop quality procedures and practices such as implementing a recognised club constitution, child protection policy and procedures, appointment of a designated child protection person, CRB, codes of conduct for players, parents, managers, coaches and club volunteers and FA qualified coaches.

In 2005 the club was awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard Club Award and the FA Charter Standard Club of the Year for Herefordshire. Coach Jon Pearce also won the Herefordshire Coach of the Year award. In 2007 the club became an FA Three Lions Club.

The motivation behind Garway Juniors is to provide the opportunity to take part in safe, fun, structured football activities whether as a child playing or adult coaching. If you would like to be part of a football club where enjoyment comes before winning then Garway Junior Football Club may be the club for you. A club dedicated to bringing the wonderful game of football to all children of all abilities in the South Herefordshire region.
